Marvel Rivals: EIGHT Maps, Four Years of work

Our Marvel Rivals showcase page is now live, featuring in-game screenshots from seven areas we contributed to across the game: Tokyo 2099, Yggsgard, Hydra Charteris Base, Midtown, Krakoa, Klyntar, and Arakko. It's the first time we've been able to show anything from this project publicly, after four years of work that stayed entirely under wraps (and a lot of concept art and design still is)

What four years of work on Marvel Rivals actually covered

The scope went well beyond concept art. Across these seven areas, our work included environment concept art, prop design, 3D blockout and detailing, and lighting and material polish, all handed off directly to NetEase's environment team and built within their established art direction for each location.

One example: on the Krakoa map, part of our scope was designing the Cerebro helmet featured in the space, carried from early concept through to a finished 3D prop. On Midtown, our work included the Avengers Building exterior itself, one of the most recognizable landmarks in the game. This is the kind of hands-on production work that doesn't always come through in a single portfolio image, and it's a large part of what four years on a project like this actually looks like.

Why this matters

This is also, in a smaller way, a look at how we work. Nuen Studio's core differentiator is delivering 3D block-out alongside 2D concept, not just a flat file handed over and forgotten. The work behind these seven Marvel Rivals areas is a real example of that in practice: staying close to production, contributing where the project needed it, guided throughout by NetEase's direction.

You can see the full set of screenshots and read more about our role on each area on ourMarvel Rivals showcase page.
